It Takes Everyone Coming Together

To appropriately care for a community, it takes everyone coming together to make a difference. At Katallasso, medicine is our resource for caring for the lost, hurting, and those in need. We have the privilege to care for people as Jesus did with compassion, gentleness, patience, humility, and love.
We consider those involved with Katallasso our family. That family includes our patients, the various organizations that partner with us, the faith community, our donor base, our staff, board members, and our volunteers. There are nurses that volunteer their time whether while actively working or in their retirement.
One of our greatest resources is our team of volunteer health care providers. We currently have 31 active volunteer providers that serve at Katallasso. Some have retired, or partially retired and balance their retirement with caring for patients at the clinic. Many of our providers are employed full-time in a local health care system and carve time in their schedule to serve at Katallasso. They take time to build relationships with patients that are struggling, hurting, and may feel a sense of hopelessness.
By sacrificing time, by putting the needs of others before their own, our providers have helped to restore our patients’ hope through a transforming love our culture doesn’t normally experience.
Our community partners understand that well. Crispus Attucks has partnered with us so that we can provide behavioral health services for the students and staff in times of struggle, hurt, or trauma. Family First has partnered with us to make available HIV screening at Katallasso by their team for members of our community that are concerned about such an illness.
It takes an entire community, a family, to make a difference in the future of everyone who is in need. We look forward to joining with you for Give Local York on May 5th to support the care of our community. The love that we are called to share is a transforming love, a life changing love for today, tomorrow and eternity. As part of the Katallasso family, know that you are valued, cared for, and loved.
